Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and ReleaseTag LLC ("we", "us") for your use of the Location Ledger app and this website. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. They add to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Location Ledger.

Free trial and subscription

• Location Ledger is free to download. Each new user gets a 14-day free trial with full access, starting when the app is first installed. The trial doesn't require payment details.
• After the trial, all features require a Location Ledger Pro subscription, purchased in the app through Apple.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings, or from Settings › Manage Subscription in the app.
• Apple handles all billing and refunds under its own terms.
• Prices may change. Apple notifies you of price changes as required by its rules.

Not professional advice

Location Ledger shows where your devices recorded you and counts days, overnights, and time. These numbers are for your own record-keeping. They are not tax, legal, or financial advice, and they are not a determination of your residency for any purpose. Residency rules differ by state and country. You are responsible for your own filings and should consult a qualified professional.

Accuracy of location data

The app depends on your device's location services, your permission settings, network connectivity, and services from Apple and others. Records can be missing or inaccurate, for example when your device is off, out of battery, offline, or location access is turned off. Addresses come from reverse geocoding and may be wrong. We don't guarantee that the app will capture every location or calculate every total correctly.

Your data

Your location history belongs to you. It is stored on your devices and, if you choose, in your private iCloud account, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your devices secure and for keeping backups you need. Jailbroken or modified devices may compromise security and may stop the app from working properly.

License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple's license agreement. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app, or use our name or trademarks without permission. The app and all related intellectual property belong to ReleaseTag LLC.

Data and roaming charges

Some features, such as address lookup, sync, and map outlines, use an internet connection. Your mobile carrier's data and roaming charges apply.

Updates and availability

We may update, change, or stop offering the app or any feature at any time. System requirements may change, and you may need to install updates to keep using the app.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. ReleaseTag LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss resulting from reliance on the app's data, including tax assessments, penalties, or interest. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
